Groove collects the following information when you use the app: • Your selected music genres • Songs you save or skip • Comments you post on tracks • Authentication information (email if you sign up with Groove, or your Google/Apple profile if you use those login methods) We do not collect your location, contacts, or any other personal data beyond what is needed to run the app.
Your data is used solely to provide and improve the Groove experience: • Genre preferences are used to personalise your music discovery feed • Saved songs are stored so you can access them across devices • Comments are shown publicly on tracks within the app • Authentication data is used to identify your account
Groove integrates with the following third-party services: • Spotify — if you log in with Spotify, we access your top artists and create a playlist in your account. Spotify's privacy policy applies: spotify.com/privacy • Deezer — used for music discovery and 30-second previews. No personal data is sent to Deezer. • Supabase — our backend database provider, used to store your saved songs and comments. Data is stored securely. supabase.com/privacy
Your data is stored on Supabase's secure cloud infrastructure. We use Row Level Security (RLS) to ensure users can only access their own data. We do not sell or share your data with any third parties beyond the services listed above.
You can clear your saved songs at any time from Settings → Clear saved songs. To fully delete your account and all associated data, use the delete account option in Settings, or contact us and we will remove it within 30 days.
Groove is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any significant changes will be communicated within the app. Continued use of Groove after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
